Obituary - Christina L. (Potter) Ward


CHRISTINA L. (POTTER) WARD, of Weymouth, formerly of Lowell and Scituate, passed away on Monday, Nov. 19th, 2012 at the Leahy Clinic in Burlington after a brief illness. She was 59.

She worked as an acquiring editor at Little Brown Publishers in Boston before founding Christina Ward Literary Agency. She later became co-owner of The Ward & Barkin Agency, Inc. She had a special interest in working closely with writers and was a guest faculty member at several writers’ conferences throughout the United States.

Beloved wife of George W. Ward of Weymouth and mother of Devin T. Ward of Milwaukee, WI and Gareth M. Ward of Malden. Daughter of Thomas V. and Betty Hamlin Potter of Weymouth. Sister of Stephen Potter of Georgia, Van Potter of Arizona and Rebecca Hulbert of Plymouth. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Ward was an avid gardener and reader and had a wide and varied interest in literature and poetry. She was a loving wife, mother and daughter.

A Memorial Service will be conducted on Saturday, Nov. 24th at 1 PM at the Old Ship Church, 90 Main St., Hingham. Visiting hours and flowers omitted by request. Rather than flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Old Ship Church, Access to Education Fund, 107 Main St., Hingham, MA 02043.

The interment is to be private.

Paul A. Gagnon … 1933 – 2012
LOWELL - Paul A. Gagnon, 79, a lifelong Lowell resident, died Monday, June 18, 2012, after a brief illness.

Born in Lowell on March 10, 1933, he was a son of the late Andre J. Gagnon and Armande (Perras) Gagnon.

For many years, Paul worked for Columbia Construction of North Reading.  Paul was a 50 year member of the Laborers Union Local 429 of Lowell.

Paul enjoyed CYO Baseball, PSC League Softball, fishing and hunting.

He was also a communicant of the former Ste. Jeanne d'Arc Church.

Survivors include a brother; Gerard L. Gagnon and his wife, Claudette of Lowell; two sisters, Aline Grimard and her husband, Albert of Pelham, NH, Judith Desrochers of NJ; a sister-in-law, Margaret Gagnon of CO; several nieces and nephews including his Godchild, Rene Gagnon of VT.

He was the brother of the late Richard and Donald Gagnon.

GAGNON - Relatives and friends may call at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell from 5 until 7 PM on Friday. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 11 AM in St. Rita Church, Lowell. Interment will be private. For those who wish, donations in Paul's memory may be made to: The Roland E. Obituary - Gail A. (Morin) Morrissette

Gail A. (Morin) Morrissette

Chelmsford - Gail A. (Morin) Morrissette, the beloved wife of Peter L. Morrissette, died on Monday June 13, 2011, at her Chelmsford residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was 57.

Gail was born in Fitchburg on October 8, 1953, a daughter of the late Andre and Doris (Normandin) Morin. She was educated in the Fitchburg schools.

Gail was employed as an office administrator for Acton Real Estate for a number of years. She also enjoyed being part of the sales team at Mary Kay Cosmetics.

While her children were students in the Chelmsford school system Gail was often seen at the Westlands Elementary School where she volunteered for numerous projects.

Gail enjoyed line dancing and camping, but most of all she cherished time spent with family and friends.

Surviving her besides her husband are two children, Amy D. Morrissette and Adam P. Morrissette, both of Chelmsford; three brothers and a sister in law, Ronald Morin of Wichita, KS, Kenneth Morin of Thailand, Paul and Jackie Morin of Fitchburg; brothers in law and sisters in law, Alfred and Beverly Morrissette of Litchfield, NH, Robert Morrissette of Jamacia Plain, David and Sharon Morrissette of Stoneham; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

MORRISSETTE - Relatives and friends may call at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street from 4 until 8 PM on Wednesday June 15, 2011. A Funeral Service will then take place St. Mary Church, 25 North Road, Chelmsford, MA 01824 at 11 AM. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, 96 Riverneck Road, Chelmsford, MA 01824.
